Description

TITLE: MyPHP Forum Multiple SQL Injection Vulnerabilities

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID: SA14205

VERIFY ADVISORY: http://secunia.com/advisories/14205/

CRITICAL: Moderately critical

IMPACT: Manipulation of data

WHERE: >From remote

SOFTWARE: MyPHP Forum 1.x http://secunia.com/product/4631/

DESCRIPTION: foster GHC has reported some vulnerabilities in MyPHP Forum, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.

Input passed to various scripts isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Example: * The "fid" parameter in "forum.php" * The "member" parameter in "member.php" * The "email" parameter in "forgot.php" * The "nbuser" and "nbpass" parameters in "include.php"

Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 1.0.

SOLUTION: Set "magic_quotes_gpc" to "On".

Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
