Vulnerabilities in Windows Kernel Could Allow Elevation of Privilege - Published: April 13, 2010. This security update resolves several vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows, allowing elevation of privilege if an attacker runs a specially crafted application with valid logon credentials and local access. The update addresses issues in validation, symbolic links, virtual registry key paths, and exceptions handling. It is important for Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003, and Vista; and moderate for some versions of Vista, Server 2008, 7, and Server 2008 R2
