TITLE: BNBT EasyTracker Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID: SA20774

VERIFY ADVISORY: http://secunia.com/advisories/20774/

CRITICAL: Less critical

IMPACT: Cross Site Scripting

WHERE: >From remote

SOFTWARE: BNBT EasyTracker 7.x http://secunia.com/product/5730/

DESCRIPTION: r0t has discovered two vulnerabilities in BNBT EasyTracker, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

Input passed to the "filter" and "sort" parameter in "index.html" isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 7.7r3.2004.10.27. Other versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION: The product is reportedly no longer being maintained. Use another product.
