The version of Trend Micro InterScan Web Security Virtual Appliance (IWSVA) installed on the remote host is 6.5 prior to 6.5 Build 1737.
It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities :

  • A remote code execution vulnerability exists due to insecure access controls in the ManagePatches Servlet when uploading patches. This may allow an authenticated, remote attacker to upload a specially crafted patch and execute arbitrary commands.
    (CVE-2016-9269)

  • Insufficient access controls in ConfigBackup when downloading a backup of configuration files allows an authenticated, remote attacker to backup, disclose, or potentially manipulate certain files. (CVE-2016-9314)

  • Insufficient access controls in the updateaccountadministration servlet allows an authenticated, remote attacker to change administrator passwords or add administrative users.
    (CVE-2016-9315)

  • An insufficient input validation flaw exists in the handling of the ‘accountnamelocal’ and ‘description’ parameters to the updateaccountadministration servlet. Therefore, an authenticated, remote attacker can create a specially crafted request that will execute arbitrary script code in a user’s browser session within the trust relationship between their browser and the server.
    (CVE-2016-9316)
