Oracle Linux 6 : kernel (ELSA-2017-0307)

Description

The remote Oracle Linux 6 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the ELSA-2017-0307 advisory. - Race condition in the audit_log_single_execve_arg function in kernel/auditsc.c in the Linux kernel through 4.7 allows local users to bypass intended character-set restrictions or disrupt system-call auditing by changing a certain string, aka a double fetch vulnerability. (CVE-2016-6136) - The sctp_sf_ootb function in net/sctp/sm_statefuns.c in the Linux kernel before 4.8.8 lacks chunk-length checking for the first chunk, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds slab access) or possibly have unspecified other impact via crafted SCTP data. (CVE-2016-9555) Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
