Linux kernel suffers from a denial-of-service vulnerability that stems from improper locking, a contention flaw found in the Linux kernel sound subsystem, and when processing SNDCTL_DSP_SYNC ioctl, it could lead to a NULL pointer dereference and an attacker could exploit the vulnerability to crash the system.
