Summary

IBM Watson Speech Services Cartridge for IBM Cloud Pak for Data is vulnerable to arbitrary command execution in OpenSSL, due to improper validation of user supplied input by the c_rehash script (CVE-2022-2068). The Open SSL component is included as part of the Base OS image that is used by Watson Speech Services. Please read the details for remediation below.

Vulnerability Details

**DESCRIPTION:**OpenSSL could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input by the c_rehash script. By sending a specially-crafted request using shell metacharacters, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the script on the system.
