VMware Workstation ThinPrint name Table Integer Overflow Privilege Escalation Vulnerability

This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of VMware Workstation. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target guest system in order to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the ThinPrint component. Crafted data in the name table of a font file can result in an integer overflow before writing to memory. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute code in the context of the hypervisor.
