This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Microsoft Windows. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the processing of TrueType fonts. A glyph can be crafted to cause a buffer overflow in win32k!vCopyClearTypeBits in the Windows kernel, allowing read and write access to kernel memory. This can be leveraged by an attacker to run arbitrary code in the context of SYSTEM.
