This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Microsoft Internet Explorer. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the handling of CTreePos objects. A use-after-free condition can trigger when accessing the innertext property after specific DOM object manipulations. An attacker can leverage this situation to execute code under the context of the user running the browser.
