Product: Ahrare Andeysheh - Content Management System 2016 Q2

Exploitation Technique:
=======================
Remote

Severity Level:
===============
High

Technical Details & Description:
================================
Multiple web-application vulnerabilities has been discovered in the official Ahrare Andeysheh Content Management System.
The client-side issue allows remote attackers to inject own malicious script code with non-persistent attack vector to
compromise browser to web-application requests. The sql-injection vulnerabilities allow the remote attacker to execute own
malicious sql commands to compromise the database management system.

The vulnerabilities are located in the `from` and `to` values of the `archive.php` file GET method request. Remote attackers
are able to inject own malicious script code to the client-side of the vulnerable module. The request method to inject is GET
and the attack vector of the issue is non-persistent. The vulnerability is allows exploitation by cross site scripting but
also by sql-injection attack. Both parameters are vulnerable to both typ of attacks.

The security risk of the client-side cross site vulnerabilities are estimated as medium with a cvss (common vulnerability
scoring system) count of 3.3. Exploitation of the non-persistent input validation vulnerabilities requires no privileged
web-application user account and low or medium user interaction. Successful exploitation of the xss vulnerability results in
session hijacking, non-persistent phishing attacks, non-persistent external redirects to malicious source and non-persistent
manipulation of affected or connected application modules. Successful exploitation of the sql-injection vulnerability results
in web-application, web-server or database management system compromise.

Proof of Concept (PoC):
=======================
The sql-injection vulnerabilities can be exploited by remote attackers without user interaction or privileged user account.
The cross site vulnerabilities can be exploited by remote attackers with low or medium user interaction and without privileged user account.
For security demonstration or to reproduce the vulnerability follow the provided information and steps below to continue.

Solution - Fix & Patch:
=======================
The vulnerability can be patched by a secure usage of a prepared statement in the archive.php file GET method request.
Disallow the usage of special chars in the from and to values of the arhcive.php file GET method request.
Restrict the input and escape the context, ensure that the filter captures the client-side requests to prevent further injection attacks.

Security Risk:
==============
The security risk of the vulnerabilities in the content management system are estimated as high. (CVSS 7.5)
