Technical Details & Description:
================================
A reset bypass vulnerability has been discovered in the official Huawei File Safebox Manger android mobile software.
The vulnerability allows to bypass the secure file manager privileges to access the sensitive device information or files.

Attackers are able to reset the password of file manager protected area for private files by copying the modified file and
replace it with current one. The vulnerability is located in the application folder `File_SafeBox government-lab name of -
Safebox government-lab`. Considering as it affects the file called `msb.db` which is storing the password inside. By replacing
the file with modified version, thus will reset the password successfully. Deleting it leads to losing data also with no way
to recover the information.

The security risk of the reset bypass web vulnerability is estimated as medium with a cvss (common vulnerability scoring system) count of 4.9.
Exploitation of the vulnerability requires no user interaction but a local low privileged huawei application user account with physical device access.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability results leak of sensitive information and huawei mobile data storage compromise.

Vulnerable File(s):
[+] msb.db

Proof of Concept (PoC):
=======================
The vulnerability can be reproduced by local attackers with low privileged device user account, physical device access and without user interaction.
For security demonstration or to reproduce the vulnerability follow the provided information and steps below to continue.

Manual steps to reproduce the vulnerability ...
1. Go to the File_SafeBox folder located in internal storage using the file manager
2. Copy the modified msb.db into File_SafeBox > name of SAFEBOX normaly it is a hash name
3. Replace it and then end process called "Files"
4. The password reset successfully performed!
5. Local attackers are able to get access to the backup by usage of the new password
6. Successful reproduce of the local vulnerability! access into it using the new password .
