The independent vulnerability researcher r00h uncovered a remote denial of service vulnerability in the VLC Media Player v2 2 6 Umbrella software. 
The security issue allows to crash the software core process permanently. The vulnerability is explained with the DecodeAdpcmImaQ buffer overflow exploit.
