Nils Laumaillé
Product: Teampass Password Manager - Online Service (Web-Application) 2.1.26

Exploitation Technique:
=======================
Remote

Severity Level:
===============
Medium

Technical Details & Description:
================================
The ssh.php file in the documentroot is used to change server passwords over ssh(http://teampass.net/2016-06-19-remote-server-password-change)
The ssh.php file is only available to authenticated users but does not properly check if the user is allowed access to a particular item.
An account with low privileges is able to retreive all usernames and clear text passwords for every item stored in the database even if
the role denies access.

This vulnerability in combination with the unauthenticated database export vulnerability((http://www.vulnerability-lab.com/get_content.php?id=1844))
which also still working in v2.1.26 Pre-Release 8 gives access to all information available in the teampass database.

Proof of Concept (PoC):
=======================
The vulnerability can be exploited by remote attackers without privileged web-application user account and without user interaction.
For security demonstration ot to reproduce the vulnerability follow the provided information and steps below to continue.

Manual steps to reproduce ...
1. Log in to teampass with a low privileged account
2. Visit https://your.teampass.installation/ssh.php?id=1
3. The username is displayed, now check the source of this page on line 14 to retreive the clear text password
Line 14 looks like: <input type="password" id="ausp_ssh_pwd" class="menu_250 text ui-widget-content ui-corner-all" style="padding:3px;" value="CLEARTEXTPASSWORD" />
4. Repeat step 2 and increase the value of the id parameter with 1 until all usernames and passwords are retreived

Solution - Fix & Patch:
=======================
2016-07-03: Vendor Fix/Patch (Teampass Developer Team)

Security Risk:
==============
Horizontal privilege escalation. Items(usernames/passwords) that should not be accessible for a low privileged user are now accessible. (CVSS 5.6)
