libsndfile is vulnerable to denial of service. The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in libsndfile’s FLAC codec functionality allowing an attacker to crash the system by submitting a specially crafted file (via tricking a user to open or otherwise) to an application linked with libsndfile and using the FLAC codec.
