Denial Of Service (DoS)

ethereum/go-ethereum is vulnerable to denial of service (DoS) attacks. The vulnerability exists due to some unknown functionality of the component Message Handler. An attacker is able to exploit the vulnerability by sending series of messages, causing the system to crash with runtime error: invalid memory address or nil pointer dereference.
