SQL VSS writer fails for SQL localdb on Azure AD Connect Sync server. Backup or replication jobs with Application Aware Image-Processing enabled may fail due to the SQL writer's failure. After updates to Azure AD Connect Sync, VSS snapshots cause the SQL Server writer to fail. Solution involves installing service pack 4 for SQL localdb 2012 and rebooting the server. Future updates to Azure AD Connect Sync may prompt for a reboot, preventing this issue
