In Xpdf 4.01.01, there is a heap-based buffer over-read in the function
DCTStream::readScan() located at Stream.cc. It can, for example, be

allow an attacker to cause Information Disclosure.
Author | Note |
---|---|
jdstrand | xpdf in koffice is 2.0 |
mdeslaur | doesn’t seem to reproduce in poppler |
ebarretto | since 0.5.12-1 libextractor does not use xpdf anymore. xpdf in Debian uses poppler, which is not affected or fixed |
