PlugX: A Talisman to Behold

The Talisman PlugX variant uses a benign executable to load a modified DLL as part of its execution process. The malware serves as a backdoor with plug-in capabilities and has been attributed to the Chinese state-backed RedFoxtrot group. The victims were in the Telecommunication and Defense sectors in South Asia, aligning with China’s geopolitical interests.
