The Dawn of OSX Worms – Renepo/Leap-A. 2004 brought Renepo, a shell script worm to disable Mac OS X's firewall and security settings, install password-sniffing tools and make key directories writable. In 2006, Leap-A virus spread via iChat, disguised as an image file, infecting Cocoa applications
