Description

Security researcher Troy Mursch of the Bad Packets Report joins the Threatpost Podcast to discuss recent cryptojacking campaigns, and why these types of malicious cryptomining attacks are on the rise.

Criminals have been harnessing devices – from mobile devices to servers – to mine cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Monero. The malicious activity, dubbed cryptojacking, has brought in profit for criminals and has been targeting victims ranging from the Los Angeles Times website to the San Diego Zoo.

Mursch has been sounding off on cryptojacking activity on his website, Bad Packets Report. We asked Mursch about his top concerns in the cryptomining space.
