A shadowy web of "malnets" was predicted to be the source of two-thirds of online attacks in 2012, with specific malnets like Shnakule, Glomyn, and others identified. Malnets are distributed network infrastructures designed to capture victims while they browse trusted websites, and Blue Coat researchers are focusing on identifying common components to mitigate threats before they become active
