Ukraine Hit with New Golang-based 'SwiftSlicer' data wiper malware in latest cyber attack. ESET attributed the attack to Sandworm, a nation-state group linked to Military Unit 74455 of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian Federation (GRU). It overwrites files and corrupts user data, causing the computer to be unbootable. The wiper was deployed using Group Policy of Active Directory and was discovered on January 25, 2023. The cyber attack is part of a series of disruptive and destructive cyber campaigns targeting organizations worldwide, with a focus on Ukraine
