NSA's PRISM spy program accessing data from major internet companies, including Microsoft, Google, and Facebook. Program gathers real-time and stored information such as search history, email content, file transfers, and live chats. Other companies involved: PalTalk, Skype, and AOL. Data collection also extends to audio, video, chat, and file transfers on Skype. Denials from Facebook, Apple, and Google. US government's collection of telephone records via Verizon also revealed.
