Ansible Tower is prone to an information-disclosure vulnerability. An attacker can exploit this issue to obtain sensitive information. That may aid in further attacks. Ansible Tower versions 3.6.1 and 3.5.3 are vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
Permit local access for trusted individuals only. Where possible, use restricted environments and restricted shells.
Allow only trusted individuals to have user accounts and local access to the resources.
Run all software as a nonprivileged user with minimal access rights.
To reduce the impact of latent vulnerabilities, always run nonadministrative software as an unprivileged user with minimal access rights.
