SRC-2016-0023 : Foxit Reader ConvertToPDF TIF SamplesPerPixel Parsing Heap Buffer Overflow Remote Code Execution Vulnerability

Vulnerability Details:

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Foxit Reader. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.

The specific flaw exists within the ConvertToPDF plugin. A specially crafted TIF image with a large SamplesPerPixel value can force a heap buffer overflow condition. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code under the context of the current process.
