New mariadb packages are available for Slackware 14.1 and 14.2 to
fix security issues.

Installation instructions:

Upgrade the package as root:
> upgradepkg mariadb-10.0.34-i586-1_slack14.2.txz

Then, restart the database server:
> sh /etc/rc.d/rc.mysqld restart
