TITLE:
Comersus Cart Multiple Vulnerabilities

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA13964

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/13964/

CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:
Security Bypass, Cross Site Scripting, Manipulation of data

WHERE:
>From remote

SOFTWARE:
Comersus Cart 6.x
http://secunia.com/product/4557/

DESCRIPTION:
raf somers has reported some vulnerabilities in Comersus Cart, which
can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security
restrictions, and conduct SQL injection and cross-site scripting
attacks.

1) Some installation files are not correctly removed after
installation. This can be exploited to login as administrator without
authentication by accessing the URL
"http//[victim]/backofficelite/comersus_backoffice_install10.asp"
directly.

2) Input passed to the HTTP "Referer" header in
"/comersus/store/default.asp" isn't properly sanitised before being
used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries
by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation requires that visitor logging is enabled (not
default).

3) Input passed to the "comersus_supportError.asp" and
"comersus_backofficelite_supportError.asp" scripts isn't properly
sanitised before being returned to users. This can be exploited to
execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in
context of a vulnerable site.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in the free version of
Comersus Cart 6.0 with BackOffice Lite 6.0 or 6.01.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 6.02.
http://www.comersus.com/download.html

1) Remove installation files after installation.
2) Disable visitor logging (pIndexVisitsCounter=0).
