A vulnerability was found in CRI-O that causes memory or disk space exhaustion on the node for anyone with access to the Kube API. The ExecSync request runs commands in a container and logs the output of the command. This output is then read by CRI-O after command execution and it is read in a manner where the entire file corresponding to the output of the command is read in. Thus if the output of the command is large it is possible to exhaust the memory or the disk space of the node when CRI-O reads the output of the command. The highest threat from this vulnerability is system availability.

The vulnerability of the CRI-O Container Engine’s application programming interface allows a attacker to disclose confidential information or alter arbitrary data.
The vulnerability of the CRI-O Container Engine’s application programming interface, a software platform for managing clusters of virtual machines in Kubernetes, is related to improper access control. Exploiting this vulnerability can allow an attacker to disclose confidential information or alte...
BIT-HELM-2024-25620 Dependency management path traversal in helm
Helm is a tool for managing Charts. Charts are packages of pre-configured Kubernetes resources. When either the Helm client or SDK is used to save a chart whose name within the Chart.yaml file includes a relative path change, the chart would be saved outside its expected directory based on the...
BIT-HELM-2024-26147 Helm's Missing YAML Content Leads To Panic
Helm is a package manager for Charts for Kubernetes. Versions prior to 3.14.2 contain an uninitialized variable vulnerability when Helm parses index and plugin yaml files missing expected content. When either an index.yaml file or a plugins plugin.yaml file were missing all metadata a panic would...
BIT-ARGO-CD-2024-21652 Argo CD vulnerable to Bypassing of Brute Force Protection via Application Crash and In-Memory Data Loss
Argo CD is a declarative, GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes. Prior to versions 2.8.13, 2.9.9, and 2.10.4, an attacker can exploit a chain of vulnerabilities, including a Denial of Service DoS flaw and in-memory data storage weakness, to effectively bypass the application's brute forc...
BIT-ARGO-CD-2024-21661 Argo CD Denial of Service (DoS) Vulnerability Due to Unsafe Array Modification in Multi-threaded Environment
Argo CD is a declarative, GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes. Prior to versions 2.8.13, 2.9.9, and 2.10.4, an attacker can exploit a critical flaw in the application to initiate a Denial of Service DoS attack, rendering the application inoperable and affecting all users. The issue...
BIT-ARGO-CD-2024-21662 Argo CD vulnerable to Bypassing of Rate Limit and Brute Force Protection Using Cache Overflow
Argo CD is a declarative, GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes. Prior to versions 2.8.13, 2.9.9, and 2.10.4, an attacker can effectively bypass the rate limit and brute force protections by exploiting the application's weak cache-based mechanism. This loophole in security can be combine...
