Linux kernel 缓冲区错误漏洞
Linux kernel is the kernel used by Linux, the open source operating system of the Linux Foundation in the United States. Linux kernel has an elevation of privilege vulnerability that originates from an out-of-bounds access to physical memory beyond the end of the buffer in the file iouring, which...
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS : Linux kernel (GCP) vulnerabilities (USN-6107-1)
The remote Ubuntu 20.04 LTS host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the USN-6107-1 advisory. It was discovered that the Traffic-Control Index TCINDEX implementation in the Linux kernel did not properly perform filter deactivation in some...
USN-6107-1 linux-gcp-5.15 vulnerabilities
It was discovered that the Traffic-Control Index TCINDEX implementation in the Linux kernel did not properly perform filter deactivation in some situations. A local attacker could possibly use this to gain elevated privileges. Please note that with the fix for this CVE, kernel support for the...
The vulnerability of the io_sqe_buffer_register() function in the io_uring/rsrc.c module of the Linux operating system allows a hacker to increase their privileges within the system or gain access to protected information.
The vulnerability of the iosqebufferregister function in the iouring/rsrc.c module of the Linux kernel is related to the out-of-bound access to allocated memory. Exploiting this vulnerability can allow an attacker to enhance their privileges within the system or gain access to protected informati...

There exists a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel through io_uring and the IORING_OP_SPLICE operation. If IORING_OP_SPLICE is missing the IO_WQ_WORK_FILES flag which signals that the operation won't use current->nsproxy so its reference counter is not increased. This assumption is not always true as calling io_splice on specific files will call the get_uts function which will use current->nsproxy leading to invalidly decreasing its reference counter later causing the use-after-free vulnerability. We recommend upgrading to version 5.10.160 or above
