CVE-2016-1809 affects OS X El Capitan Disk Utility prior to 10.11.5. Disk Utility used incorrect encryption keys for disk images, potentially failing to encrypt/compress disk images. Apple’s update to 10.11.5 (Security Update 2016-003) fixes this (per HT206567).
