AIOHTTP Affected by Denial of Service (DoS) via Unbounded DNS Cache in TCPConnector
Summary An unbounded DNS cache could result in excessive memory usage possibly resulting in a DoS situation. Impact If an application makes requests to a very large number of hosts, this could cause the DNS cache to continue growing and slowly use excessive amounts of memory. ----- Patch:...

Use-After-Free
github.com/envoyproxy/envoy is vulnerable to a Use-After-Free. The vulnerability is due to improper handling of DNS cache operations in the Dynamic Forward Proxy implementation, where a completion callback can trigger new or remove existing DNS resolutions, which allows an attacker to cause...
CVE-2025-59781 BIG-IP DNS cache vulnerability
When DNS cache is configured on a BIG-IP or BIG-IP Next CNF virtual server, undisclosed DNS queries can cause an increase in memory resource utilization. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support EoTS are not evaluated...
SUSE CVE-2005-0877
Dnsmasq before 2.21 allows remote attackers to poison the DNS cache via answers to queries that were not made by Dnsmasq...
SUSE CVE-2010-4448
Unspecified vulnerability in the Java Runtime Environment JRE in Oracle Java SE and Java for Business 6 Update 23 and earlier, 5.0 Update 27 and earlier, and 1.4.229 earlier allows remote untrusted Java Web Start applications and untrusted Java applets to affect integrity via unknown vectors...
A flaw was found in dnsmasq in versions before 2.85. When configured to use a specific server for a given network interface dnsmasq uses a fixed port while forwarding queries. An attacker on the network able to find the outgoing port used by dnsmasq only needs to guess the random transmission ID to forge a reply and get it accepted by dnsmasq. This flaw makes a DNS Cache Poisoning attack much easier. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data integrity.

CVE-2018-5532
On F5 BIG-IP 13.0.0, 12.1.0-12.1.2, 11.6.0-11.6.3.1, or 11.2.1-11.5.6 a domain name cached within the DNS Cache of TMM may continue to be resolved by the cache even after the parent server revokes the record, if the DNS Cache is receiving a stream of requests for the cached name...
