Intentional backdoor found in XZ Utils, an open-source compression utility, allowing manipulation of sshd for remote access, potentially leading to theft of encryption keys or malware installation. Detected by a Microsoft engineer before distribution. Incredibly complex, multi-year installation process involving social engineering tactics.
