Vulnerability in VLC 3.0.11 player The vulnerability could cause a buffer overflow in the hxxx_AnnexB_to_xVC() function. The vulnerability potentially allows to organize attackerโs code execution when playing specially formatted video in H.264 (Annex-B) format packaged, for example, in AVI container.
The user should refrain from opening files from untrusted third parties or using VLC player until the patch is applied. or - install security updates for package: vlc-3.0.11Installing updates is possible in the following ways:**a) If the computer with the installed OS version has access to the vendorโs official repository, run the update as administrator with the command:# yum update
After the list of updated packages is displayed, agree to apply the updates by pressing theY**key on the keyboard.
