A vulnerability was found in network subsystem of Linux Kernel causing a system crash when removing a network namespace with conflicting alternate names. When physical interfaces are moved back to the initial namespace, the main interface name could be overwritten if it conflicts, but conflicting alternate names were not properly discarded, leading to DoS.
Red Hat has investigated whether a possible mitigation exists for this issue, and has not been able to identify a practical example. Please update the affected package as soon as possible.
