07/09/2011 Advisory Released

Class: Multiple Vulnerabilities Severity: High

Overview:
---------
Xataface WebAuction and Xataface Librarian DB Multiple Vulnerabilities.

Technical Description:
----------------------
Xataface WebAuction and Xataface Librarian DB Multiple Vulnerabilities.

i) Input passed via the '-action' parameter in 'index.php' is not properly
verified. This can be exploited to read complete installation path.

ii) Input passed via the 'list&-table' and '-action' parameter in 'index.php'
page is not properly verified before being used in an SQL query. This can
be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL queries.

iii) Input passed via the '-action' nad 'list&-table' parameter in 'index.php'
page is not properly verified before it is returned to the user. This can
be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser
session in the context of a vulnerable site.

iV) Input passed via the 'list&-lang' and '-table' parameter in 'index.php'
page is not properly verified before it is returned to the user. This
can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in the context of a vulnerable site.

V) Input passed via the 'list&-lang' parameter in 'index.php' is not
properly verified beofore using it to include files. This can be
exploited to include arbitrary files from external and local resources.

The vulnerabilities are tested in Xataface WebAuction v0.3.6,
Xataface WebAuction v0.3.5, Xataface Librarian DB v0.2 and
Xataface Librarian DB v0.1.3. Other versions may also be affected.

Impact:
--------
Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary HTML
code in a user's browser session in the context of a vulnerable application
or to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code or to include
arbitrary files from external and local resources.

Affected Software:
------------------
Xataface WebAuction v0.3.6 and prior,
Xataface Librarian DB v0.2 and prior.

Tested on,
Xataface WebAuction v0.3.6,
Xataface WebAuction v0.3.5,
Xataface Librarian DB v0.2,
Xataface Librarian DB v0.1.3
