Description

Vulnerability Description

BIND named contains a flaw that may allow a remote denial of service. The issue is triggered when a remote attacker consumes more file descriptors than designated by the "fdmax" variable, which will crash the named daemon

Solution Description

Upgrade to version 8.2.2p2 or higher, as it has been reported to fix this vulnerability. An upgrade is required as there are no known workarounds.
