id: CVE-2023-39108
info:
name: rConfig 3.9.4 - Server-Side Request Forgery
author: theamanrawat
severity: high
description: |
rconfig v3.9.4 was discovered to contain a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) via the path_b parameter in the doDiff Function of /classes/compareClass.php. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers to make arbitrary requests via injection of crafted URLs.
impact: |
Authenticated attackers can exploit SSRF vulnerabilities in the path_b parameter to make the server fetch arbitrary URLs including local files, potentially accessing sensitive network configuration data and internal services through the rConfig server.
remediation: |
Update rConfig to a version newer than 3.9.4 that validates and restricts the path_b parameter to prevent SSRF and local file inclusion attacks.
