Reporter Ubuntu Security Notice (C) 2020 Canonical, Inc. / NASL script (C) 2020 and is owned by Tenable, Inc. or an Affiliate thereof.
Modified 2020-08-02T00:00:00

Description

It was discovered that SpamAssassin incorrectly handled certain CF files. If a user or automated system were tricked into using a specially crafted CF file, a remote attacker could possibly run arbitrary code. (CVE-2018-11805)

It was discovered that SpamAssassin incorrectly handled certain messages. A remote attacker could possibly use this issue to cause SpamAssassin to consume resources, resulting in a denial of service. (CVE-2019-12420).

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Ubuntu security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.
