"The CentOS Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the
TuxCare CENTOS7:CLSA-2024:1726651745 advisory.
- An out-of-bounds(OOB) memory access vulnerability was found in vmwgfx driver in
drivers/gpu/vmxgfx/vmxgfx_kms.c in GPU component in the Linux kernel with device file '/dev/dri/renderD128
(or Dxxx)'. This flaw allows a local attacker with a user account on the system to gain privilege, causing
a denial of service(DoS). (CVE-2022-36280)
- There is an infoleak vulnerability in the Linux kernel's net/bluetooth/l2cap_core.c's l2cap_parse_conf_req
function which can be used to leak kernel pointers remotely. We recommend upgrading past commit
https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/b1a2cd50c0357f243b7435a732b4e62ba3157a2e
https://www.google.com/url (CVE-2022-42895)
- An issue was discovered in drivers/usb/storage/ene_ub6250.c for the ENE UB6250 reader driver in the Linux
kernel before 6.2.5. An object could potentially extend beyond the end of an allocation. (CVE-2023-45862)
- In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: stm class: Fix a double free in
stm_register_device() The put_device(&stm->dev) call will trigger stm_device_release() which frees stm
so the vfree(stm) on the next line is a double free. (CVE-2024-38627)
Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version
number.");
