"The version of Tencent Linux installed on the remote TencentOS Server 4 host is prior to tested version. It is,
therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the TSSA-2026:0123 advisory.
Package updates are available for TencentOS Server 4 that fix the following vulnerabilities:
CVE-2025-11961:
pcap_ether_aton() is an auxiliary function in libpcap, it takes a string argument and returns a fixed-size
allocated buffer. The string argument must be a well-formed MAC-48 address in one of the supported
formats, but this requirement has been poorly documented. If an application calls the function with an
argument that deviates from the expected format, the function can read data beyond the end of the provided
string and write data beyond the end of the allocated buffer.
Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Tencent Linux security advisory.
Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version
number.");
