| Security Advisory 0097 | 24 May 202400:00 | – | arista | |
| The vulnerability of the IEEE 802.11 Wi-Fi standard lies in the insufficient protection of service data during the processing of SSID identifiers. This allows attackers to intercept traffic by replacing the access points. | 24 May 202400:00 | – | bdu_fstec | |

therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the TSSA-2025:0175 advisory.
Package updates are available for TencentOS Server 4 that fix the following vulnerabilities:
CVE-2023-52424:
The IEEE 802.11 standard sometimes enables an adversary to trick a victim into connecting to an unintended
or untrusted network with Home WEP, Home WPA3 SAE-loop. Enterprise 802.1X/EAP, Mesh AMPE, or FILS, aka an
SSID Confusion issue. This occurs because the SSID is not always used to derive the pairwise master key
or session keys, and because there is not a protected exchange of an SSID during a 4-way handshake.
Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Tencent Linux security advisory.
Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version
number.");
