The remote Oracle Linux 7 host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the ELSA-2019-4668 advisory.

  • Systems with microprocessors utilizing speculative execution and indirect branch prediction may allow unauthorized disclosure of information to an attacker with local user access via a side-channel analysis.
    (CVE-2017-5715)

  • Systems with microprocessors utilizing speculative execution and branch prediction may allow unauthorized disclosure of information to an attacker with local user access via a side-channel analysis.
    (CVE-2017-5753)

  • Buffer overflow in BlockIo service for EDK II may allow an unauthenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege, information disclosure and/or denial of service via network access.
    (CVE-2018-12180)

  • Bounds checking in Tianocompress before November 7, 2017 may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable an escalation of privilege via local access. (CVE-2017-5731)

  • Buffer overflow in network stack for EDK II may allow unprivileged user to potentially enable escalation of privilege and/or denial of service via network. (CVE-2018-12178)

  • Stack overflow in corrupted bmp for EDK II may allow unprivileged user to potentially enable denial of service or elevation of privilege via local access. (CVE-2018-12181)
