"The remote MiracleLinux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the
AXSA:2017-1335:02 advisory.
The kernel package contains the Linux kernel (vmlinuz), the core of any
Linux operating system. The kernel handles the basic functions
of the operating system: memory allocation, process allocation, device
input and output, etc.
Security issues fixed with this release:
CVE-2017-6074
The dccp_rcv_state_process function in net/dccp/input.c in the Linux
kernel through 4.9.11 mishandles DCCP_PKT_REQUEST packet data
structures in the LISTEN state, which allows local users to obtain
root privileges or cause a denial of service (double free) via an
application that makes an IPV6_RECVPKTINFO setsockopt system call.
Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the MiracleLinux security advisory.
Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version
number.");
