gimp
GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is a powerful image composition and
editing program, which can be extremely useful for creating logos and other
graphics for webpages. GIMP has many of the tools and filters you would expect
to find in similar commercial offerings, and some interesting extras as well.
GIMP provides a large image manipulation toolbox, including channel operations
and layers, effects, sub-pixel imaging and anti-aliasing, and conversions, all
with multi-level undo.
gimp-help
This package contains a user manual written for the GNU Image Manipulation
Program.
Security issues fixed with this release:
CVE-2016-4994
Use-after-free vulnerability in the xcf_load_image function in
app/xcf/xcf-load.c in GIMP allows remote attackers to cause a denial
of service (program crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a
crafted XCF file.
The following packages have been upgraded to a newer upstream version: gimp (2.8.16), gimp-help (2.8.2).
Additional Changes:
Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the MiracleLinux security advisory.
Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version
number.");
