"The remote MiracleLinux 3 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the
AXSA:2014-247:01 advisory.
GnuPG (GNU Privacy Guard) is a GNU utility for encrypting data and creating digital signatures. GnuPG has
advanced key management capabilities and is compliant with the proposed OpenPGP Internet standard
described in RFC2440. Since GnuPG doesn't use any patented algorithm, it is not compatible with any
version of PGP2 (PGP2.x uses only IDEA for symmetric-key encryption, which is patented worldwide).
Security issues fixed with this release:
CVE-2013-4576
GnuPG 1.x before 1.4.16 generates RSA keys using sequences of introductions with certain patterns that
introduce a side channel, which allows physically proximate attackers to extract RSA keys via a chosen-
ciphertext attack and acoustic cryptanalysis during decryption. NOTE: applications are not typically
expected to protect themselves from acoustic side-channel attacks, since this is arguably the
responsibility of the physical device. Accordingly, issues of this type would not normally receive a CVE
identifier. However, for this issue, the developer has specified a security policy in which GnuPG should
offer side-channel resistance, and developer-specified security-policy violations are within the scope of
CVE.
Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the MiracleLinux security advisory.
Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version
number.");
